Limerick, Ireland, and arrived in the lllawarra district in May, 1855, al the early ago of 15 years and 9 months. She had, therefore, been a resident of 60 years at the time of her demise, having resided between Shellharbor and Wollongong the whole of that time, 42 years being spent in the latter town. She was married at Jumberoo on Christmas Day, 1857, to the late Mr. Ed. .Byron, sen., whose death occurred in 1889. The deceased was of an extremely charitable disposition, and was warmly attached to her Church. Even in the early days, when residing at Dapto, she was known to walk from Dapto to Shellhnrbor and back, carrying a child, so that she would not miss Mass. She died fortilied by the rites of her Church, the Very Rev. P. M. Dunne, Rev. Father McNally, and the Sisters of St. Mary's Convent being constant visitors to her bedside. (Sons were very active in the community and how the community reacted to her passing) The deceased is survived by six sons, four daughters, fifty grandchildren, and two great grand children
