 Nowra, where she had been residing for some time past. She was a very fine old neighborly lady, kindness in itself, always sympathetic with those in misfortune. She was born in County of Ahmar (Ireland) in the year 1862, having reached her 76<sup>th</sup> milestone. She came to New South Wales with her parents when five years of age, and when 23 years of age married the late Mr. Hy. Ison, subsequently removing to Nowra Hill, Mr. Ison following the timber industry and farming, doing a lot of carrying work to and from Yalwal goldfield over a number of years. Some years ago they removed to Budgong, where Mr. Ison died. There was issue of their marriage eleven children, the surviving members being William (Budgong), Mary (Mrs. Hush, Kinghorn-street, Nowra), Wilfred (Nowra). Ada (Mrs. J. Oakes, Wagga). Edward John (Bowral), Richard Henry (Newcastle), Alice May (Mrs. J. Pepper), Ivy Floreince (Mrs. E. Hughes, Burrier), and Lola Gladys (Mrs. Amby Jones, Burrier).
